Chip Petersen

Been there, done that! Chip Petersen has over 19 years experience working in medical affairs and credentialing departments prior to joining CACTUS Software. Chip has also been a member of NAMSS since 1993, serving positions on various boards. Chip's background makes him a great resource as trainer and consultant. Not only does he understand MSO procedures, he can help tailor CACTUS for an even better fit with your organization.
Tom Moore

Tom started with CACTUS in 1991 and his vast experience in the credentialing field shows in his work. During his time with CACTUS, Tom has watched the company grow from just a handful of hard-working employees. Along the way Tom has held down a number of positions at CACTUS including support help desk, technical trainer, documentation, sales and his current role as a technical consultant. Training and consulting is a great match for Tom’s skills due to his experience with single or multi-entity hospitals, managed care facilities, payors and any client who has an interest in credentialing. Tom enjoys working and playing with his family and reading.

Mike Salmonson

Mike is a graduate of the University of Kansas School of Business and one of our most requested trainers. He started with CACTUS in 2000 as a technical trainer and has rapidly progressed to the role of a consultant/trainer for both hospital and managed care clients. His training resume includes leading CACTUS training sessions at NAMSS, our Kansas City based Users' Conferences and various state conferences. Along with training CACTUS clients from New York to California , Mike is one of the more knowledgeable people on the planet when it comes to creating custom reports within CACTUS. Mike’s hobbies include riding both street and motocross motorcycles and traveling to the non-tourist areas of South East Asia, Turkey, The Balkans and places yet unexplored.

Eric Jewett

Eric started his career with CACTUS in 1994 when the software was still DOS-based. Eric has served as the head trainer for many of our users conferences and also managed the Support Help Desk staff prior to his current role as our lead quality control agent in charge of version updates and feature enhancement requests. He brings a wealth of technical and practical experience to our client base as a trainer and credentialing consultant. Eric’s two favorite sports teams are the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the LA Lakers.

Mark Salmonson

Mark was born and raised in Overland Park, KS and is a graduate of Kansas University. In May of 2005, Mark received a Bachelors degree in Economics and Political Science from KU. Mark has been an employee at CACTUS Software since July of 2005 performing Technical Support and Training. In his free time, Mark enjoys spending time outdoors; camping, fishing, and riding ATV’s.
Nick Fertig

Nick received a Bachelor of Arts in Radio/Television production from Kansas State University in 2004. Prior to starting at CACTUS, Nick worked for KSHB TV 41 as a production assistant on the set of the morning news. After moving around quite a bit, including a 2 year stay in London, England, Nick has lived in the Overland Park area since 1990. Nick's mother Judith is a cookbook author and has passed some of her prodigious skills to him. In his free time, he enjoys cooking (especially grilling), watching the Chiefs and Jayhawks dominate week in and week out, and playing racquetball.  

Bryan Robbins

Bryan was born and raised in the San Francisco area and is a graduate of Kansas University with a Bachelors of Science in Atmospheric Science. Bryan built his technical experience training and briefing government and commercial pilots on international weather impacts. Bryan has been with CACTUS since July 2003 as a technical trainer and consultant. At 6-foot-6, Bryan is CACTUS’ tallest employee. His lovely bride, Jen, is a kindergarten teacher.

Ali Khan

Ali has a Bachelors degree in Information Systems and started with CACTUS in 1999 as a technical support person. He has also served as a technical trainer and programmer. Since 2001, Ali has been the technical lead of our Custom Reports Department. He is an expert in the creating, editing and problem solving of custom reports created in Crystal Reports Writer. Ali is a native of Pakistan and a fan of soccer and cricket. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and daughter, listening to music from the 80s, playing tennis and keeping up-to-date with technology.

Travis Hilton

Travis joined the CACTUS team in July of 2006 and brought with him a life-long love of computers and technology. Travis has Bachelors degrees in Marketing and Information Technology and is currently working in the Custom Reports Department. Prior to coming to CACTUS Travis was a stay-at-home dad for seven years where his claim to fame was being featured in Parents magazine as one of "America's Sweetest Dads". Travis enjoys playing computer games, cooking, designing houses, and spending time with his lovely wife and two wonderful children.
